Kerta gosa bali
One of the most exciting things about Bali is the beauty of the culture and the traditional touches everywhere. It’s fun to take a look around. Imagine the whole lot different culture and the bits of it in various things including buildings.
Kerta Gosa Bali becomes one of the most interesting buildings to be checked. Kerta Gosa or Taman Gili is a pavilion with Balinese architectural and known for its extensive history. The pavilion was built as a part of Klungkung Palace. Dewa Agung Gusti Sideman built it in the early of 18th century. The building was first used as the court of law in the year 1945.

Kerta Gosa had been repainted twice in 1920s and 1960s without changing many elements of the pavilion. When a traveler wants to make a plan of Bali what to see, don’t miss this one building especially for those who wish to see the example of traditional Bali architecture.
The visitors of Kerta Gosa will be able to see the special painting of Bhima Swarga around the ceiling of the pavilion. Bhima Swarga is a Hindu epic about the four brothers who go through hell in order to rescue their parents. The epic is referenced to Mahabharata and the painting is just a small section of Mahabharata.
Kerta Gosa is an attractive building with traditional architecture. However, wouldn’t it be boring if there is just one destination to be visited in one day?
Fear not, the building can be included in Bali traditional tours along with the other tourism attractions around Klungkung such as Kamasan village, Pura Masceti, Gunarsa Museum of Classic & modern art, Puputan Monument and the River of Unda. Taking a tour that includes all of these destinations is very possible to be done. Klungkung is relatively small to be explored in just one day.
